Technical Report: BCM2035B USB Bluetooth Driver
- Plug in the device.
- Open Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update.
- Click Check for updates. If that fails, click View optional updates and look under "Driver updates."
Cause:
The BCM2035B supports A2DP, but only with the correct Broadcom driver stack. Microsoft’s generic driver does not. Fix: Install the full Broadcom Bluetooth Software suite, not just the base driver. Then set the Bluetooth audio device as default in Sound settings.
Observed Behavior:
- Driver conflicts: Conflicts with other drivers or software components can cause issues with the Bluetooth device.
- Device recognition: The operating system may not recognize the BCM2035B module, preventing the driver from functioning correctly.
- Data transmission issues: Issues with data transmission, such as dropped connections or slow data transfer rates, can occur due to interference or incorrect driver settings.
v8.1.4222.0 (2014-06-22):
The most recent "legacy" version that supports Windows 10 (both 32 and 64-bit).
