Pre-requisites for the Update

You can verify your current version and look for available over-the-air (OTA) updates using these steps:

With the car engine ON (to prevent battery drain), insert the USB drive into the dedicated USB port on the back of the unit or the original car’s USB port.
Go to Settings → System → System Update (or "Firmware Upgrade").
Tap Local Update (not OTA).
Select the USB drive and confirm.
DO NOT turn off the engine or touch the screen for 5–10 minutes. The unit will reboot 2–3 times. This is normal.
When the home screen appears, remove the USB drive and go to Settings → Factory Settings (password usually 1234 or 8888) and re-check your CAN Bus settings (especially for i10, Creta, Swift, etc.).
