- Polygon Budget: Keep individual clothing pieces under 8k triangles. A full outfit (shirt, pants, shoes, jacket, hat) should be under 30k triangles. Many paid templates exceed 150k—that's GTA V's entire pedestrian budget for 5 players.
- Draw Calls: Every unique material instance = one draw call. A jacket with separate materials for fabric, buttons, zipper, and patches = 4 draw calls. For 32 players = 128 extra draw calls before the world even renders. Better: Atlas multiple textures into one sheet and use UV mapping to differentiate regions. One material, one draw call.
