Secret Levels
: Discover "Hot Coco" and "Eggipus Rex" to unlock two additional gems and relics. Relics : Earn Gold or Platinum relics for all 30 levels.
- Sapphire (Blue): Easy to get. Good for casual players. Does not count toward max percentage.
- Gold (Yellow): The standard for completionists. Achieve Gold on all levels to unlock the true ending and max percentage.
- Platinum (Purple): For bragging rights only. Unlocks a special trophy/achievement ("Platinum Agent").
- Developer (Relic): Added in a patch. Times set by the devs. Almost inhuman.
- This game introduces time trails and a different set of relics.
Unlike Crash 1 , you can die in Crash 2 and still get the gem, provided you break all crates before hitting the platform. However, many gems are locked behind "Death Routes" (platforms that only appear after dying at a specific point). Originally cut from the PS1 game due to difficulty, this level is a nightmare. It is longer and harder than "Slippery Climb."
