The base map has done its job. It provided the "safe" parameters needed to get the car running, idling, and ready for the real work: the fine-tuning on the dyno where this digital foundation will be pushed to its limits. ecumaster base maps
Why You Should Never "Build from Scratch" Without a Base Map
- Apply global offsets (timing +2° across map), target AFR sweeps, or scale VE by percent with preview.

- User selects: EMU Black → 4G63 → 2.0L → Pump 93 → Turbo (20 psi target)
- System generates a base map with safe fuel (11.5 AFR at peak torque), conservative timing (12° at peak boost), and basic boost control.
- User flashes and starts engine – idle wizard helps stabilize at 850 RPM.
- After a short test drive, user uploads a 5-minute cruise log → system suggests: “Add 3% fuel at 2500–3500 RPM, load cells 40–60 kPa”
- User adjusts with one click, logs again, and repeats.
