What to avoid

:

Disable antivirus temporarily (false positives are common with old CCTV software).
Run installer as Administrator.
Choose installation path (default: C:\Program Files (x86)\Hikvision\EZStation).
During install, uncheck “Install Hikvision SDK” if you don’t need it.
After install, add folder to antivirus exclusions to prevent file quarantining.

Right-click the .exe → Properties → Digital Signatures tab.
Should show “Hangzhou Hikvision Digital Technology Co., Ltd.”
If missing or invalid → delete the file immediately.
