2. Core Functionality
- Download the client from the official Filedot portal (avoid third-party mirrors to prevent malware).
- Install and run the setup wizard. You will be prompted to create a recovery key—save this offline.
- To send a file: Click the "New Transfer" button, drag your file (or folder) into the window, and enter the recipient’s email or shareable link.
- Set security parameters: Choose whether the file requires a password, how many downloads are allowed, and the expiry time.
- Click "Send via Nina." The AI will analyze the transfer. If the recipient is online and using Filedot Nina, the transfer occurs instantly P2P. If offline, the file is cached securely for up to 72 hours.
- Notification: The recipient receives a signed notification. They can download the file directly to their device without creating an account (though an account enables faster speeds).
