Go to Control Panel > Devices and Printers.
Right-click your Samsung ML-2160 printer > Printer properties.
Go to Driver tab > Update Driver > Browse my computer > Let me pick.
Select an older driver or simply disable automatic Windows updates for devices via Group Policy (advanced users).
Turn off the printer using the power button on the front panel.
Unplug the power cord from the rear of the printer and wait 30 seconds.
Plug the power cord back in, but do not turn on the printer yet.
Press and hold the Cancel button (circle with a slash – 🚫).
While holding Cancel, press the Power button once to turn the printer on.
Continue holding Cancel until all LEDs blink once (about 10–15 seconds), then release.
The printer will print a configuration page showing “Factory Reset” or default settings.
Solution: Downgrade only affects the printing engine, not the Wi‑Fi module. Reconfigure Wi‑Fi via the WPS button: Press WPS on router → Press and hold the Wireless button on the printer for 2 seconds. Or use USB to set up again.
