  • Legal Risk: Downloading any Switch NSP from ROMsLab or its derivatives is copyright infringement. Nintendo aggressively sues site owners and logs IP addresses of downloaders. In 2024, a user in Germany was fined €3,800 for seeding a single Nintendo NSP.
  • Malware Risk: RAR exclusives are notorious for containing .exe files disguised as “Switch updater tools.” One known variant, NS_Updater.nro.exe, installs a crypto wallet stealer.
  • Brick Risk: Fake NSPs can trigger Nintendo’s anti-piracy “brick code” (error 2168-0002), rendering your Switch unusable even after factory reset.
  • Scam Risk: Most “RAR exclusive” links lead to link shorteners that require paid surveys or credit card entries. You will never receive the file.

InfluxDB OSS 2.9.0: API tokens are hashed by default

Stronger token security in InfluxDB OSS 2.9.0 — tokens are hashed on disk by default. Existing tokens are hashed on first startup and can’t be recovered afterward. Capture any plaintext tokens you still need before you upgrade.
