- Ensure you have the exact firmware package matching your device model and build number.
- Use a Windows 7 or 10 environment (compatibility issues on Windows 11 are common).
- Install the proper Huawei USB COM drivers (often included with the tool).
- Understand that modern Huawei devices (EMUI 12+, HarmonyOS) may have additional anti-rollback protections that IDT cannot bypass.
