Report: I 1st Studio Siberian Mouse Masha and Veronika Babko Work

The story begins in the winter of 2015, when Masha and Veronika were both enrolled in the 's joint program for “Cross‑Border Visual Practices.” Their first collaborative experiment was a series of zines titled Mice in the Snow that juxtaposed Masha’s hand‑drawn Siberian creatures with Veronika’s grainy black‑and‑white photographs of abandoned Soviet housing blocks. The project earned a modest but fervent following on early social‑media platforms (VKontakte and LiveJournal) and caught the attention of an underground art collective called Kremlin‑Kitsch .
