Monogamy Board Game Rules Sheet [better] Page
Monogamy: Rules Sheet (Concise, Playable Reference)
- 1 Game Board – A winding, double-sided path (Romance → Hot → Steamy). The standard side has spaces; the advanced side has fewer but more daring spaces.
- 1 Die – A standard six-sided die.
- 2 Playing Pieces – Distinctive tokens (e.g., silver and gold hearts).
- 4 Decks of Cards (color-coded):
- Executing the Card:
Who is this NOT for?
- Safe word/pass token: Players may pass without penalty once; double-pass possible with mutual consent.
- Card discard cycles: After N rounds, reshuffle discards into the draw pile.
- Penalty limits: Caps on negative points per round to keep play fun.
- Time shortening: Reduce timer length for a faster-paced game.
- Vs. Standard Card Games (e.g., Exploding Kittens NSFW edition): Monogamy is much better. Card games often feel disjointed; Monogamy has a flow and an end goal.
- Vs. "Nookii": Monogamy is less messy and generally has better replay value.
- Vs. Just Dice/No Game: Monogamy provides structure. For couples who struggle with initiating intimacy or coming up with new ideas, this acts as a helpful "third party" facilitator.
