Original Nokia firmware is as of 2024. Nokia removed all S40 downloads post-Microsoft acquisition (2014). Surviving sources:

1. Click “Start Flash” in NBU.
2. Progress bar appears: Erasing → Writing → Verifying (takes 3–5 minutes).
3. Never disconnect the cable during writing.
4. Upon completion, you’ll see “Flashing OK” or “Done.”

How to Download and Install the Nokia X201 RM-709 Flash File

• Charge the battery to at least 60% (use a universal charger if the phone won’t turn on).
• Backup contacts/SMS – flashing will erase all user data.
• Install NBU drivers on Windows 7/10 (disable driver signature enforcement on Windows 10).
