Playstation Classic Project — Eris

Project Eris

The Sony PlayStation Classic was widely criticized at launch for its lackluster game selection and poor emulation. transforms this disappointing mini-console into a versatile powerhouse, allowing you to add your own PlayStation 1 games and emulate over 30 other systems. What is Project Eris?

  1. Ensure your PlayStation Classic is turned off.
  2. Insert the prepared USB drive into port 1 (the left front port).
  3. Connect the power cable. The console will automatically boot into Project Eris’s installer.
  4. The LED will flash orange/blue. Once finished (about 90 seconds), the console will reboot.
  5. You have now flashed the custom kernel. Stock games remain, but the system is unlocked.

  • PlayStation Classic console
  • USB 2.0 flash drive (8GB minimum, 32GB+ recommended; Note: USB 3.0 drives often draw too much power and may fail).
  • USB OTG cable/adapter (recommended for final setup).
