Ps3xpad Pkg Now
PS3xPAD
The plugin is a popular homebrew tool created by OsirisX that allows PlayStation 3 users with Custom Firmware (CFW) or PS3HEN to use a wide variety of non-native controllers, including Xbox 360, Xbox One, and DualShock 4. Key Features
- USB Spoofing: It intercepts the USB handshake and "spoofs" the identity of connected controllers. For example, an Xbox 360 controller is identified by the system as a legitimate DualShock 3.
- Input Mapping: It translates input protocols from foreign devices (e.g., XInput for Xbox controllers) into the native PS3 input API (cellPad).
- Feature Injection: It enables features the PS3 OS would not normally activate for third-party devices, such as:
- PS3 on CFW (Rebug, Evilnat, Ferrox) or HEN (4.90/4.91)
- WebMAN MOD or multiMAN (recommended, not strictly required)
- For wireless Xbox controllers: Official Xbox Wireless Adapter for Windows (model 1790) — not the newer Xbox Wireless Adapter (model 1943).
- Format your USB drive as FAT32 (NTFS and exFAT are not recognized by the PS3’s Package Manager).
- Create a folder at the root of the USB drive named
PKG (all uppercase).
- Copy the
ps3xpad.pkg file into that folder.
