Understanding Your Sensus iPERL Water Meter: A Guide
Connect pulse output wires to a pulse counter on a PLC or building automation system.
The large digits at the top show total usage. Units are typically displayed in Gallons (GAL) Cubic Feet (CF) Cubic Meters (M³) Dashes above digits:
- Verify zero reading before connecting to supply.
- Run a known volume to validate register accuracy (e.g., bucket test) and check for leaks.
- Confirm encoder/communication handshake with reading system; check route/registration in AMR/AMI software.
- Record meter serial number, initial reading, and installation details.
