The Intro ("Insert Coin"): It sounds like a corrupted hard drive booting up. On a low-quality stream, it’s just noise. On CD/FLAC? It’s spatial. You hear the reverb decay, the analog warmth of the synth before the digital glitch.
"Unsainted": The choir hit at 0:45 is the single greatest "stank face" moment of 2019. In FLAC, the dynamic range is preserved. You feel the sub-bass drop under the choir, not on top of it.
"Nero Forte": The stereo panning of the vocals ("A liar's funeral...") is disorienting. Streaming compression tends to flatten this effect. Lossless audio keeps the razor-sharp separation between the left and right channels, making the hook feel like it’s splitting your skull.
