Feature proposal: Valtra error-code assistant
- Turn off ignition, remove key.
- Disconnect both battery terminals (negative first).
- Wait 10 minutes (this discharges the capacitors in the ECUs).
- Reconnect batteries (positive first).
- Restart. Many "ghost" codes will clear. If the code returns, it is real.
- Red Stop Light ON: Stop the engine immediately. This is likely an oil pressure, coolant temp, or transmission failure.
- Yellow Warning Light: Continue with caution. Limp mode may be activated. Complete your immediate task, then diagnose.
- Information Light (Blue/Green): It’s a maintenance reminder or minor sensor fault. You can run the shift.
Unlike plugging a scanner into a car, Valtra tractors often allow you to access basic codes via the dashboard display. The exact method varies by model year and display type.
