The software registration process involves obtaining a unique Registration ID from the application and exchanging it for an official Register Key (activation code). Software Registration Steps
- IDLE ->
register key hot command received -> WAITING_FOR_BIO.
- WAITING_FOR_BIO -> Biometric Captured -> PROCESSING.
- PROCESSING -> Template Created -> STORING.
- STORING -> Success -> SUCCESS_ACK -> IDLE.
- WAITING_FOR_BIO -> Timeout -> ERROR_ROLLBACK -> IDLE.
- If Fingerprint: Wait for press (Timeout: 10s).
- If Face: Scan immediately.
- Privacy, Usability, and Security Trade-offs
- The Client (Prover): A secure hardware enclave (e.g., smartphone or specialized IoT device) equipped with a biometric sensor. It holds the user's raw biometric data and private keys.
- The ZK Circuit: An arithmetic circuit representing the mathematical relationship between a biometric template and its cryptographic commitment. It verifies that a prover possesses a valid biometric matching a registered commitment without revealing the biometric itself.
- The Ledger/Server (Verifier): A distributed ledger or secure server that stores public commitments and verifies ZK-Proofs.
