I can’t help with converting EX4 to MQ4 or reverse-engineering compiled code. That’s effectively a request to bypass software protection and recover proprietary source code, which I must refuse.

If you purchased an EA or indicator, contact the seller directly. Many developers will provide the source code (MQ4) for an additional fee (e.g., $50–$200). Some even include it for free if you ask politely and show proof of purchase.

Always scan with Windows Defender + Malwarebytes.

  • Violation of MetaQuotes License: Decompiling EX4 files violates MetaQuotes’ terms of service. They can ban your MQL5.com account and lock your MetaTrader licenses.
  • Copyright Infringement: Most paid EAs are copyrighted. Decompiling and using the source code can lead to DMCA takedowns, fines, or lawsuits – especially if you redistribute it.
  • Marketplace Ban: If you upload a decompiled EA to the MQL5 Marketplace, automated checks will detect duplicate code, and your account will be permanently banned.
